Safeguarding Team

At Seymour Primary School, safeguarding is our number one priority and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children, families, staff and visitors. Safeguarding is not a policy, it is a culture in our school.

Everyone working in our school, whatever their role understands the importance of safeguarding and that it is a shared responsibility of all. All staff receive annual safeguarding training, read part 1 of the DFE guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and are kept up to date on relevant issues or changes linked to safeguarding throughout the year.

Every child, member of staff and visitor deserves to be safe and feel safe in our school. Safeguarding of everyone is a priority for the Governing Body, all staff, children and thier families, volunteers and visitors. Safeguarding is everyones responsibility.

We aim to keep our children safe through:

  • Ensuring every child has a voice and they are heard
  • Our rigorous safeguarding procedures
  • Early intervention
  • Effect and efficient recording keeping

If you or a child is in immediate danger, phone the Police on 999
