SEND
At Seymour, we have the same high aspirations and expectations for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as we do for every child. Our teachers and SEND team work closely together to identify individual learning needs and adapt lessons so that all pupils can access and enjoy their learning.
We believe in working in partnership with families. We also understand that at times every child may find aspects of school challenging. If you have any concerns about your child’s progress or specific needs, please speak first with your child’s class teacher, who knows them best and will be able to support you.
If your concern cannot be resolved with the class teacher, you are very welcome to contact Mrs Butler, our SENDCo. She is always happy to meet with parents and carers, and can often signpost you to additional services in the community that may be able to offer further support.
The needs of pupils with SEND are sharply identified. As a result, pupils with SEND develop increasing independence and make strong progress through the curriculum.
