At Seymour Primary School we ensure that all our children feel secure, listened to and have the opportunities to talk whenever needed. Throughout our curriculum, we provide lessons and opportunities that equip our children with the tools to stay safe and develop essential skills for life.
Keeping our children safe is our top priority at Seymour, so we have devised a PSHE curriculum personalised to our children and with safeguarding at the heart.
Our Intent:
Personal, Social, Health and Economics education (PSHE) is the foundation of a child’s learning. It helps give children the skills and understanding they need to be safe, morally good, healthy and independent citizens. In addition, we provide our children the opportunity to learn about their rights and understand how their actions affect others. Children are taught about their place in the world and the contributions they can make to society locally, nationally and globally. Our PSHE curriculum encompasses experiences of diversity and reflects our changing society. Children are encouraged to develop their self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community.
