At Seymour we recognise the huge language potential that exists within our school community. Children who act as 'Young Interpreters' are selected on the basis of their competent language skills and personal qualities.
They play a very important role in providing support to the newly arrived children who are learning English as an additional language. The support they offer helps the new learners of English feel safe, settled, included and valued from the start. Young Interpreters also help the school staff in a variety of ways sending positive messages to all about valuing bilingualism.
